Club Penguin Website GONE?! Domain Expires!


Like millions of other penguins today, I woke up, went to my computer, and opened up Club Penguin but... THE WEBSITE WAS GONE! Instead of going to www.ClubPenguin.com, it redirected me to this weird site.


See, here's what happened. When you buy a website, you have to pay for the domain (the website URL) every few years. Today was Club Penguin's expiration date, and they forgot to renew their domain! So the website does not belong to them until they renew it.

I can't believe that this is game bought by Disney for over 300 million dollars, and they just forget to renew their domain. That is mega embarrassing!

In the end however, Club Penguin offices are going crazy and freaking out trying to get their website back.


Haha, let's hope the site will be back up within a couple hours.

UPDATE: Club Penguin has renewed their domain and the site is slowly starting to work for penguins. Others however still have the problem. There is no way to fix this, you'll just have to wait it out (It takes up to 72 hours or more for a website to renew it's domain after being expired).

    That's irresponsible of them! That just too bad , you know. Thank goodness I met Cadence like 10/11 hours ago. I would have died if the website had disappeared at the very moment i met Cadence! Cena12121, did you meet all the characters before/after stamp book? I think its unfair of them to forget such a big thing. Someone said It will take 2/3 days! Is it true? Please, please, reply to me Cena! I'm sorry to say , you dont seem to care much about your fans but that's not the point. Please reply to us!

    Okay, you may want to post this Cena. The website is down because the reason you said, (im not sure if they forgot, or somethin else happened), and if you call them on ur phone and if ur parent is there, they'll give u 1 week of free membership! Awesome, eh?

    it will probably be back on 48 hrs to 72 hrs. club penguin (disney) didn't pay their money fee for the domain and so now they don't have their site. they can get it back easy but if someone else has already bought it then its very hard but even if club penguin did get it back it will take a while to load everything back :(

    My little bro was so upset when he tried to log on to club penguin. The music jam is hi favourite celebration. He just loves it! Hopefully they will have Club Penguin fixed soon! Its pretty silly of them to forget about the domain name!!!!! Hopefully it wont happen again!!!!

    They payed millions of dollars for the site, and they could have at least marked their calanders for when the domain expires...

    Plus I'm a member so I wonder if you get a refund for all the money you've spent for membership...

    This isnt good. They should pay there money. And also the people with membership its june 21st and the clown is still there! Im scared of clowns. In the U.S.A its not working. This isnt good too. If they dont pay soon some websites are gonna close down. like all the websites about cp.(Including Team clubpenguin cheats)Club penguin is gonna have to pay somehow. And be a lot more responsible if they are going to keep this website running.

    I was using computer and when I opened the club penguin site,I saw a weird site pop up instead of the game site. I was disappointed and thought someone hacked in the web.

    Good thing that I didn't log on that day. I logged on like 2 days later and it worked for me.

    I didn't care about membership, I was earning it (not by chores, but by writing something for my parents!).

    Wait, no, I did log on and the weird website came up.
